Fincantieri Marinette Marine is the center of excellence for small surface combatants. Here we are building the U.S. Navy’s future guided-missile frigate, as well as the Freedom-class Littoral Combat Ships.
Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding, is a specialist in the construction, repair, and conversion of Coast Guard and commercial vessels including ATBs and OSVs. FBS is building the two largest LNG bunker barges ever built in the United States.
Fincantieri ACE Marine, is an aluminum construction facility. Here we build the Coast Guard’s medium-sized Response Boats. We also specialize in the design and construction of high-speed coastal intercept and patrol vessels.
Fincantieri is continually looking for ways to build on our existing successes. We recently completed a $300 million capital expansion program for our U.S. shipyards. The expansion includes additional computer-aided ship manufacturing equipment, new climate-controlled facilities, and a U.S. Navy-Certified floating dry-dock.
Fincantieri’s acquisition of VARD Marine increases our portfolio of proven ship designs. VARD Marine will also increase our ability to specialize in the offshore supply and support markets.
