Marco Galbiati

Marco Galbiati arrived in Washington D.C. in 2018, and served as the General Manager of Fincantieri Marine Group until he was appointed CEO July 6, 2022.

He has served on various Fincantieri company boards of directors, including FMSNA, Fincantieri USA, and Fincantieri Holdings.

Marco started his business career in 1996 with Sapio Group, an Italian market leader in the industrial and medical gases sector, where he served as the group fincancial controller.

Eleven years later Marco joined Fincantieri where he served as a leader at various financial departments within Fincantieri, ultimately rising to be the head of financial planning and controls for the two most prominent business units: naval vessels and cruise ships.

Following these key leadership roles, Marco was appointed as the General Manager for Fincantieri Marine Group in the United States.

Marco earned a degree in Economics from the University of Pavia. He also served a year in the Italian Carabinieri military police

In his free time, he enjoys music and tennis.
